Switching business energy has traditionally meant a broker, a phone call and a fortnight of chasing. It does not need to. Everything below happens in your browser, and the only thing we need from you that you might have to go and find is a recent bill.
Tell us where you are
Upload a recent energy bill, or just give us your postcode. Either way we look your premises up in the national meter database and find your supply.
Your MPAN - the 13-digit number on your electricity bill - is what actually identifies your supply. Most people have never heard of it, which is why we find it for you rather than asking.
Confirm it is you
We show you what we found: your address, your current supplier, your meter. You confirm it is right. If there are several meters at your address, you pick yours.
If something does not look right at this point, stop. Getting the meter wrong is the single most common cause of a switch failing later.
Sign a Letter of Authority
Industry rules mean nobody can pull your consumption data or ask suppliers for prices on your behalf without written authority. You sign it on screen, and we email you a copy immediately.
An LOA lets us ask questions on your behalf. It does not let us switch you, sign anything, or commit you to anything.

We go to the market and come back with live prices for your actual meter and your actual consumption - supplier, contract length, unit rate, standing charge and what it adds up to over a year. Cheapest first.
These are prices for your supply, not illustrative examples. That is why we needed the meter and the LOA first.
Pick one, and we handle the switch
Choose the deal you want. We generate the contract, send it for e-signature, and submit it to the supplier. You can follow progress on screen.
Under Ofgem's Faster Switching rules the transfer itself should complete within five working days.
What we will never do
- Switch you without you choosing. Nothing moves until you pick a deal and sign a contract.
- Cold-call you. You came to us.
- Hide what we earn. If you are a micro business, you are legally entitled to know exactly what a broker makes on your contract - and you can ask us at any point.
- Force your supply through automation that does not suit it. Some meters need a person. If yours is one, we will tell you and hand you to someone.
When we hand you to a human
Automated switching works beautifully for a single meter on a standard supply. It is the wrong tool for some situations, and pretending otherwise just produces a quote that falls over at registration.
We will put you in front of a person if you have a half-hourly meter, several meters at one site, an unusual meter configuration, or a supplier we are not integrated with. That is not a failure - it is us being honest about which problems software should solve.
